Doug Still, host

Doug is a consulting arborist and former City Forester for Providence, Rhode Island. He has been an urban forester for nearly three decades. He is Past President of the Society of Municipal Arborists, from whom he received the Award of Achievement and Life Membership.

As an arborist, Doug is stirred by how much trees inspire people. Trees create a sense of place, hold shared memories and communal meaning, and shape how we experience the world. They are living witnesses to the past. Every tree has a story.
