Doug Still, host

Doug is a consulting arborist and former City Forester for Providence, Rhode Island. He has been an urban forester for three decades. He is Past President of the Urban & Community Forestry Society, from whom he received the Award of Achievement and Life Membership.

As an arborist, Doug is stirred by how much trees inspire people. Trees create a sense of place, hold shared memories and communal meaning, and shape how we experience the world. They are living witnesses to the past. Every tree has a story.
